LOCAT project kick-off meeting at IENI-CNR

The Complexity-NET pilot project LOCAT - Localizing signatures of catastrophic failure, coordinated by IENI-CNR, held its first meeting in Milano on February 2-3, 2011. The project, involving CNR-IENI, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Debrecen, will study  possible failure precursors in laboratory experiments, computational models and earthquakes catalogs, investigating damage localization in heterogeneous media.
